SCIROCCO -

the low ballst flat roof system from hb Solar

The flat roof system SCIROCCO, which has been developed by hb Solar is the long awaited solution for the low ballast installation of solar modules on large flat and industrial roof areas.

The system matters

SCIROCCO Solar Flachdachsystem Detail

Whereas up to today, due to static problems, approxi- mately many industrial roof areas could not be used for solar power generation, the innovative hb flat roof system SCIROCCO is revolutionizing the market.

Our flat roof system has been proven to reduce the static load on the building construction by up to 70 percent as compared to conventional photovoltaic installations. While taking advantage of aerodynamic effects, the use of aluminium and stainless steel guarantees the highest degree of stability and corrosion resistance with the smallest amount of weight, and without damage to the roof cladding.

The joint and connections in the SCIROCCO system have been standardized to cut installation times. The new base section allows a range of different angels to be selected with just one base. To improve overall system reliability cables are laid in the base to protect them against noise and interference. The stability of the structure is improved while at the same time reducing its weight and the overall ballast requirements.

The solar panel is attached both at the foot profile and the apex profile. In addition, system-connecting aluminium bars ensure the added stability and safety of the solar system. As compared to traditional flat roof systems, the new hb flat roof system SCIROCCO can resist considerably higher wind loads and displacing forces.

Due to its low ballast hb flat roof system SCIROCCO, the hb Solar is regarded as a systems developer for effective solar systems on flat and industrial roofs.
